Gentle, yet effective cleaner removes dirt, oils and airborne contaminants without stripping durable water repellency (DWR) from technical clothing and equipment. Ideal cleaner for maintaining water repellency on new garments.G-Wash Cleaner includes the PLUS additive that eliminates odors. Use on old garments to clean, and prior to re-applying restorative water proofing treatments. Traditional soaps and detergents often contain perfumes, bleaches and fabric softeners that leave water-attractive residues covering up the fabric’s water repellent finish. These residues are difficult to rinse off and cause the fabric to ‘wet out’ – which reduces breathability. Regular use of G-Wash revives the performance of technical fabrics like Gore-Tex®, eVent®, Sympatex®, Precip®, Dry-Plus® and Helly-Tech®. (G-Wash Cleaner is an upgraded version of the Granger's Extreme Cleaner Plus.)

Front Load Versus Top Loading Washing Machines

Front loading machines are becoming more popular in North America (they are the standard in Europe) due to their higher efficiency—they use less electricity, consume less water. Since they use less water it is possible to use less Granger’s Cleaners and Waterproofing treatments--as a general rule, you can use half of the amount recommended for a top loading machine.
